I make works of performance that draw from my experience in puppet theater, exploring concepts of manipulation and attention as related to the physical world around us. I’m interested in the relationships between humans and our spaces and objects, especially those that are considered boring or mundane.

As a performer, puppetry designer, consultant, teacher, or collaborator, I have worked with Dan Hurlin, Jeanette Yew, Robin Frohardt, Sachiyo Takahashi, Nick Lehane, Derek Fourdjour, Alex Da Corte, the Kennedy Center, The University of Rochester, Swoon, CO/LAB Theater Group, Geva Theatre, and David Neumann, among others.

I have toured nationally and internationally with Robin Frohardt’s The Pigeoning and Nick Lehane’s Chimpanzee, and premiered the live version of Frohardt’s The Plastic Bag Store in New York City (the film/installation has since traveled globally.) I served as lead puppeteer for Animated Life, an Emmy-nominated New York Times Op-Doc series

Out Of Office, a short film collaboration with playwright Emily Zemba, was an official selection of the Chattanooga Film Festival. I am currently documenting examples of particularly depressing plants in the built environment through the instagram account @sad._.plants
